UiPath Pledges to Train 750,000 Americans on RPA in Preparation for the Automation First Era

UiPath, the leading Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software company, yesterday signed the White House Pledge to America’s Workers, committing to train 750,000 Americans on RPA over the next five years. Beneficiaries of this initiative will secure RPA training through UiPath Academy and ultimately develop the skills they need to thrive in the “automation first” era.

RPA is one of the fastest-growing segments of automation, with Forrester projecting that the market will reach $2.9 billion in 2021. As RPA infiltrates businesses across industries and functions - streamlining workflows and allowing for superior scalability and flexibility within the enterprise - it is critical that employees know how to leverage the technology in order to harness its benefits, namely enhanced productivity.

UiPath launched its Academy to empower workers to master the fundamentals of RPA, gaining the knowledge and hands-on experience to successfully navigate the future of work. The first-of-its-kind, free online RPA training and certification curriculum offers participants the opportunity to upskill or reskill their capabilities for the “automation first” era. Academy training courses prepare professionals for the roles required to build an RPA Robotic Operations Center (ROC) within an organization, including RPA developers, solution architects, infrastructure engineers, implementation managers and business analysts. More than 400,000 individuals from 170 countries around the world have enrolled in UiPath Academy since its launch in 2017.

By signing the White House Pledge to America’s Workers, UiPath aims to further democratize RPA and arm every employee with a software robot. The company has already begun fulfilling its pledge with successful training at the General Services Administration and the United States Department of Agriculture. With additional training planned by both agencies and ongoing non-profit training in Washington D.C., UiPath is eager to help American workers begin their reskilling efforts to be successful in the new digital economy.

“Business automation will have far-reaching impacts on the way we work, and we believe we have an obligation to America and the rest of the world to support the future of work,” said Daniel Dines, UiPath CEO and co-founder. “One way we’re doing that is through the UiPath Academy, Academic Alliance and Automation Ready programs, venues to democratize RPA and make RPA education and training available to anyone with the ambition to pursue it. We have pledged 80 percent of all the trainings committed to Pledge to America’s Workers, showing our dedication to helping Americans flourish in the ‘automation first’ era. We are proud to sign this pledge.”

UiPath joins more than 200 organizations so far - including Salesforce, Amazon and Deloitte - in signing the White House Pledge to America’s Workers. UiPath’s signing ceremony took place on June 12, in Washington, D.C., in the margins of SelectUSA Investment Summit.
