UiPath Opens First U.S. Development Center in Bellevue, Washington and Appoints Former Microsoft Executive to Lead Company’s Product Teams

UiPath announces the opening of a new product development center in Bellevue, Washington. Param Kahlon, who previously held senior managerial roles at Microsoft (MSFT) and SAP Labs (SAP), has been appointed as Chief Product Officer and will lead the product teams in Bellevue, Bangalore and Bucharest, as they chart the course for better, automation-enabled business processes.

Kahlon most recently ran the development teams for Microsoft Dynamics 365 Sales and Customer Service applications. There, he played a pivotal role building the cloud business for Dynamics 365, growing the revenue multiple times over the last few years. Prior to Microsoft, Kahlon held leadership roles for product management at SAP and Siebel/Oracle. He possesses deep domain knowledge of enterprise business applications software in areas such as contact center, sales, order management, asset management and analytics.

“I am passionate about helping enterprises execute core operational processes as seamlessly and as efficiently as possible. Automation presents a huge opportunity for businesses to scale operations and deliver best-in-class results across departments spanning finance and accounting, human resources, customer service, and sales and marketing. I am eager to help organizations take advantage of this opportunity by enhancing UiPath’s already robust platform with new capabilities and making it as simple as possible for companies to implement the solution into their existing workflows.” (Param Khalon, Chief Product Officer, UiPath)

Our new Bellevue office will focus on adding AI capabilities to the UiPath Platform. Because the UiPath platform is built on Microsoft .NET components, the center’s proximity to the Microsoft headquarters and Microsoft’s development community is a critical advantage – particularly as Microsoft continues to concentrate on AI.

“We are extremely excited to open the Bellevue development center. As we prepare for the next stage of growth for our company, access to AI talent and innovation is essential. Param’s deep expertise with enterprise software, coupled with his impressive network of key stakeholders in the industry cultivated during his time at Microsoft and SAP, make him an incredible asset for us. The Bellevue team will be a critical driver of next-gen business processes as it sets us on the path to AI.” (Daniel Dines, CEO, UiPath)

UiPath’s Bellevue development center is the latest in a string of new operations in cities including Amsterdam, Houston, Munich, Paris, Seoul and Washington D.C. We now employ more than 590 professionals across 14 countries, and plan to increase our employee count by 65 percent by June 2018.
